Kashmiri girl marries Gujarati boy, the energy of this wedding is contagious! – TheManJayWedding!

Manisha & Sanjay had a cosy ceremony ‘in the middle of the desert’ in Jodhpur, Rajasthan! Oh the moments we captured!

Manisha had come to us with an excel sheet with a list of 29 photographers that she had shortlisted! For someone who had done so much research, it was refreshing to see how at the wedding, she didn’t care about anything and simply enjoyed her wedding to the fullest! Thereby, giving us the best moments of course. Sanjay truly complemented her and they made a lovely pair. He is a chef and the roast his friends and brothers gave at the welcome dinner, gave us some interesting insights into his life.

The two day wedding was colorful, a mix of gujarati & kashmiri cultures, and of course truckloads of fun! We enjoyed the mix of cultures. On one hand it was a Gujrati wedding which just has the sweetest customs and on the other hand there were Kashmiri customs and traditions which were so strong and made for some visually stunning imagery. The Kashmiri bit was absolutely new for us.

We specially loved the use of rose petals as a main part of the ceremony. The bride & groom are both covered in a translucent dupatta and showered by rose petals by the close family while singing a traditional Kashmiri song. Later the bride & Groom shower rose petals on each other and we captured some lovely expressions during that time.
