As you all know the current pandemic situation has severely affected our Wedding industry. The industry that we all thought was immune to the economic slowdowns has been and will be one of the most affected. This is the time when we all should stand together and ensure that everyone who is a part of this community sails through. We have been given the gift of TIME. Best to use it well. We want to use this time to upgrade ourselves as a community and ensure the learning keeps going on.

We, at WeddingNama, have taken an initiative to teach the community through online live sessions, webinars & masterclass. This is an extension of WeddingNama School (@WNSchool) that we started last year. Three-day multifaceted, immersive, classroom style coaching sessions, everything to do with wedding photography & filming! In room classes were planned this year as well but could not happen because of the lockdown. Instead we thought of bringing some of these classes virtually to everyone.

Our goal is to learn and contribute at the same time.

Learning will happen through the sessions taken by mentors Ankita Asthana & Akash Agarwal on various aspects of photography and filmmaking. There will be knowledge as well as experience sharing through in-depth analysis of each topic. The topics will be announced every week. Topics would range from photography & filming basics to in-depth discussion and seminars on lighting, direction, post production, posing, capturing the chaos at weddings, storytelling, and so on. The sessions will take place every Sunday at 4 pm IST. These will be completely free sessions to allow maximum participation. A lot of people can benefit and upgrade themselves.

We have setup a WN School COVID fund and after each session participants can voluntarily contribute to the fund if they can, and feel they learnt something new from the session. There is no minimum or maximum amount for the contribution. The entire fund will be used to help individuals from our industry who have been affected the most by the pandemic. This might be a small contribution but if all of us come together, we are sure we can make a difference.
